Lisa:
Be prepared to do A LOT of walking. Not only from session to session, but also the Expo floor - especially if you want to see as many vendors as possible. The one thing I've learned over the years is that I do NOT need to have a freebie gift from every booth. Unless arrive with one extra empty bag, you will have difficulty getting all that loot home.

Subject: Re: [RM] ARMA 2015

Lisa McClurg asked, "I'll be a first time attendee to ARMA, so would love some do's and don'ts for the event."

Lisa, when you attend an educational session, if you feel that the session isnıt meeting your needs, donıt be afraid to leave and try a different session. That was one of the biggest mistakes that I made at my first ARMA conference (mistakenly believing that being polite was more important that getting what I needed from these sessions).

Also, talk with the vendors on the Expo floor about their products and services; you do NOT have to be ready to spend $$ before learning about whatıs on the market. Knowing more about tools and support can bring a new perspective to the work you do.

Just one womanıs opinion.
