The next Twin Cities ARMA Chapter educational session will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at the Ricoh Offices in Bloomington, Minnesota from noon until 2:30pm. This year your generosity will benefit the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery who is seeking new toys (newborns to age 6) and clothing/underwear (up to size 8).  Please do not purchase gifts that promote violence (e.g., guns, war action figures, etc.) or toys that require batteries for operation.  Also, please do not wrap gifts.  Your generosity is appreciated!



The session titled 'Preservation through Partnership: Managing the Minneapolis Archives', presented by  Josh Schaffer (City of Minneapolis Records Manager) and Molly Hazelton (Executive Director of the Hilton Sisters Project at St. Catherine University) will discuss the efforts of the Minneapolis City Clerk's Office to preserve and share the City's archival collections. This effort has involved the development of strong partnerships with entities both within and outside the City and, to date, has focused on assessment of the City's holdings and efforts to begin digitizing and sharing the records, photos, maps and drawings that document the City's history and date back to the mid-1800s.



Registration and lunch begin at noon and the speaker presentation begins at 1:00pm.
