Patrick, thank you for your response!  You have framed/summarized this topic excellently.  To date, our IT Ops have been a key part of the discussion and will definitely take ownership of much of what is decided.  Your comment on email recovery was also very helpful; this is a likely scenario we will face (and have in the past).  Also, thank you for the "heads up" about the business users.  Our future direction will include some Change that will definitely impact the business users practices and expectations.
