Have any of you folks ever issued something called an "administrative
hold"? Like a legal hold, it prevents destruction of records, although in this
case it would be for administrative reasons (a pending update to the
retention schedule, resolving an indexing issue that may affect destruction,
etc.) instead of legal reasons. I would handle it with the same rigor as any
other legal or regulatory hold. Would it be defensible?

Thanks in advance for your wisdom.
