Yes, I'm familiar with the software.  Essentially it allows you to take a static retention schedule in Excel and transform it into an online database making it fairly easy to maneuver and change multiple options at once rather than having to make changes line by line.  Reporting is also easier in IGMapware than with an Excel spreadsheet, particularly if you're not as experienced with advanced Excel. I believe that there are also preset definitions for common records series' so if you are new to retention schedules, you can create a schedule much faster than on your own.
