We use Splunk extensively in Information Security for searching security
logs and aggregating log data. It has some really nice capabilities for
massive amounts of structured data. The licensing is kinda funky, however.
Haven't given much thought to having it ingest unstructured data. I'm not
sure they have a use case for that.
