Historians of ancient civilizations, especially regarding the Greeks and Romans, tell the public that, e. g., only about *5%* (or less) of created Greco-Roman literature has survived to the present time. Many volumes and tomes of what Plato, Aristotle, Aristophanes, Cicero, Plutarch, Virgil, etc. wrote had not, in fact, been saved from various acts and instances of destruction for whatever reasons. Untold thousands upon thousands of manuscripts have been simply lost permanently, in the tunnels of time, besides the so unfortunately repeated burnings done to, e. g., the ancient Alexandrian Library.
