Description: A Round-Table Discussion About Data Privacy in the Age of Social
Media, Apps, and Big Data in the Wake of the Facebook Data Leak.

Panelists: Please join attorneys:
     >John Isaza, Partner at Rimon, PC
     >Alfred J. Saikal, Chair, Privacy & Data Security Practice at Shook, Hardy &
Bacon L.L.P
     >Kenneth Withers, Deputy Executive Director at The Sedona Conference.

Overview: As we are all seeing, Facebook, and social media apps in general, are in
the news quite prominently these days. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s Chief
Executive Officer, recently appeared before Congress to explain how personal
information related to at least 87 million users ended up in the hands of Cambridge
Analytica, a voter profiling and political strategy company. The issues that were
discussed, and Facebook’s role and response to them, are helping spark deeper
conversations about Information Governance issues: data collection practices,
digital records management, privacy, security, and individual control over personal
data held by corporations. Some are calling the ramifications of all of these "game-
changing", and in the space of just a few weeks, social attitudes about privacy –
and government regulation of personal data collection and management practices
– have changed dramatically, calling into question current legal frameworks,
Internet business models, and the essential prerequisites for effective Artificial
Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Join us for an important round-table discussion with three Information Governance
and privacy experts concerning data privacy, the implications of the Facebook’s
collection and deployment of personal data, and the wider issues concerning the
habits and behaviors of virtually all online users.

This webinar is brought to you by MER Sapient; year-round online education and
information from MER Conference, Inc.
