The Pew Research Center found through surveys and research that text messaging is regularly used by 97 percent of smartphone users in the U.S., and texting is the feature used most frequently on smartphones. Right now, you may be asking, “Doesn’t the phone company keep all the text messages?” The answer to that is, “Maybe.” Wireless carriers have their own policies and regulatory framework, and are typically governed by the contract you enter into with them. However, if your employees are not using government-issued phones but rather their own personal devices, you could be dealing with multiple carriers with different policies.
