From reading the article looks like they should have used a RAID array
or redundant blade servers.

I replied to David off-line but be careful about destroying the

until you've done the research.  Depending on the industry there could
be 
some regulations that preclude immediate destruction.  An example is

in the defense contracting industry and we need to keep all hardcopy of

scanned images for 1 year after imaging per the Federal Aquisition
Rules

(FAR 4.7).  Great idea to keep only one copy and have that be the 
electronic one BUT just be sure you've done your homework.
