Northern Colorado Chapter ARMA Spring Seminar / It'll Never Happen to Me!
A Records Disaster!
When: Friday, May 12, 2006 / 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Where: at The Ranch, Budweiser Events Center Restaurant, Level 4. Loveland
CO
What to Expect: This conference will provide an overview of records
disaster planning, response and recovery.
The morning session:
How to Use a Tabletop Exercise as a Records Disaster Training Tool -
speakers, Molly Davis, CRM and Susanne Durkin-Schindler, CRM
The morning speakers created a fictional organization and a records
disaster scenario designed to involve seminar participants in lively
discussions of immediate and long term ramifications for the organization,
the employees and the customers.
The afternoon session consists of two case studies:
Case Study 1 - Killer BullDozer Attacks the Town of Granby! - Deborah
Hess, Granby Town Clerk will give the real-world example of disaster
response, featuring a man-made calamity.
Case Study 2 - CSU Morgan Library Flood - Diane Lunde, Coordinator of
Preservation Services at Colorado State University will feature the
disaster response to a town flood.
Seminar has been pre-approved for 5.0 CRM credit hours
