I would change shredding companies. Given the fact that shredding
companies can destroy folders with acco-grips, large metal clips, even
binders - not to mention special shredders that can swallow DASD and a
variety of computer memory hardware, carbon paper rolls should be
handled quite easily. The cost may be higher, but that's just the cost
of doing business ...

Subject: [RM] Fax Carbon Paper

I have a client who uses an older fax machine that uses a roll of carbon
paper to print the faxes. The had been sending
to a vendor to have it shredded as the fax machine is used to print out
request for services and has personal and
financial information. The carbon is on a roll and is used only once
per print so the financial information is still
available and readable, if someone wanted to steal the information.

The shredding vendor won't shred the carbon because of the damage to the
shredder.

The client is very, very, protective of financial information and does
not want to toss in the waste basket.

You assistance would be appreciated.
