yes lead by example, but I don't expect the manager or supervisor to
regularly tote and lift. We work too hard in this profession to be
considered professionals. I toted and lifted my share and will be glad
to discuss the dairy barn I spent a few days in. But once again I find
it demeaning that a professional managerial position has as part of
the job description "must be able to lift 50 pounds"
I will gladly show temporary staff, clerks and analysts how I want the
boxes stacked, lifted and carried. I will gladly lead by example, but
if lifiting boxes to be a part of the job description then this guy
ain't going there. Does Harvard want a professional who knows records
management or are they looking for brawn?
