Another down-side to the multi-function peripherals is that they can
complicate the licensing for ECM products, and sometimes fail to
integrate
very well with those products.

There is pressure to deploy Multi-Functional Peripherals in place of the
copiers.  I have a horrible picture of people printing multiple copies
of
the documents that have been sent to them electronically, then scanning
them.  But everyone already has a copy on their PC....

And I just glanced at the January/February 2007 Information Management
Journal on page 7 and found out they can also be hacked.
