I advise CRM candidates to take all the exams until you pass. I will
disagree slightly with Lorinda; I advise to take Part VI as soon as you
are able, and do not let a potential exam opportunity pass you by. You
have five years to pass them all and do not want the added pressure of
bumping up against the 5-year rule. If you do not pass Part VI the
first time, you have learned something about it and can better prepare
(mentally and emotionally) to take it the second time.

Best regards, Steve

Hi, Sharon,
I too flunked out of Part 6 (all 3 times) and am not over the trauma
completely. And Doug, this was back in the days of blue books and
short
answers. I would recommend that a test-taker postpone Part 6 for a
couple
of test cycles if you can. (Unless you like being a beta tester.)
The
ICRM and the testing company are aware of and working on the issues.
Since
I would never be a records manager even with a CRM, because I will
never do
management of people, just records, maybe I am where I am meant to be.
