By way of intro (as seems to be the etiquette) my name is Todd Baareman.
I am the Corporate Records Senior Administrator at Steelcase, Inc.
Steelcase is the world leader in the manufacture of office furniture. I
have been an on and off 'lurker' following my dad's advice. "The Lord
gave you two ears and one mouth, so listen twice as much as you speak!"
I have learned quite a bit from you folks....thanks for that.

My first memory of the Lions was seeing New Orleans beat the Lions on a
64 yard Patrick Dempsey field goal. That record still stands today.
Since then it has been a tough go of it for my Lie-downs, in fact,
except for Barry Sanders highlights, it's been a down hill ride!
I will be listening and occasionally commenting.

We have 15 functional area's, 35 sub-function area's, 435 record series.
You might see if you can roll some of the functions into sub area's.
I agree on the pack- I would have given ( well let's not go there) to
have

[RM] Functional Classifications
We are nearing the completion of our switch over from a
departmental=based
retention schedule to a functional-based one.
Our current IT consultant thinks we have too many functional areas (26).
If you are using a functional retention schedule, would you mind sharing
the number of functions you have?
BTW, the NFC road to the Super Bowl goes through Lambeau Field! GO
