Greetings:

I've just been asked by our IT and Corporate Information Security
departments to find out what folks are doing with recordings of conference
call meetings. So far, in our organization, these recordings are used by
the meeting chair (owner), secretary or scribe after the meeting to ensure
they have captured everything in their meeting minutes, action items, etc.
The meeting minutes document is considered the official record.

There are two approaches being considered 1) keep them indefinitely (not my
first choice), or 2) set an arbitrary deadline of lets say 60 days and then
destroy with confirmation from the "owner".

I've read through a number of RECMGMT listserv threads and ARMA publications
but their focus seems to be "Voice mail".

Thanks,
Irene Gelyk
