After a long 5 -year effort to move to the Lone Star State, I finally succeeded with my endeavor and moved to North Texas this past November!  
   
  Over the past 8 months, I have endured several "Did you get your Passport/Visa?" jokes and other related funnies from the "natives."  Most of the "he's from somewhere else" comments usually end when I mention that both of my parents are from El Paso.  "Oh, that is OK then." is their response.  I am now recognized as a "Texan, by Blood Proxy."  Now only if I can get "California" taken off my birth certificate!
