"As a result we have suggested that our legal and compliance areas should create a position of "search specialist" to conduct and coordinate their own searches. The thought here is that an IT person is too far removed from the unique needs of litigation and regulatory requests to be ideally effective."This is part of the reason that I took over performing our email searches as well. As my role as records manager evolves, we will most likely create a similar position with other paralegal duties or make email searches a responsibility of one of our assistents.

All the best!
Rock on!
