Nothing that I miss more way down here in Texas than some really great
New York State apples (and cider), Helluva Good Cheese, Red and White
hots, grape pie, except, perhaps:
(1) a great roast beef sandwich from Wahl's by the railroad trestle
overpass in Pittsford, NY
(2) corn on the cob from Gentle's in Penfield, NY, or
(3) Christmas cookies (no longer available) from Burdette's Market
(now closed) in Pittsford, NY
(4) A chocolate shake from Hicks & McCarthy's..... (is THAT still
open?)
(5) Hots or hamburgers & fries from Don & Bob's in Brighton, NY, or
(6) Cotton candy from Roseland Park (no longer in existence) at the
northern end of Canandaigua Lake
Ah, Texas is great, but I do miss a few of the best things from the
Rochester area!
