I would prefer that those who participate on the list avoid those
situations in which they might be accused of such bias, since this is
NOT a political forum.

I have no problem with David's post to the list and feel confident that
most of us here are intelligent enough to filter information and form
our own opinions regardless of the topic. If not, then I agree it is
best to just ignore the topic rather than lecture the list on media
bias.

Secret In Alaska...Anchorage Daily - EMAIL HACKED

We need to be VERY careful about drawing into this listserv
unsubstantiated claims by self admitted hackers. There are already
examples of partisans on both sides of these political issues
transmitting innuendos, poorly validated data, and outright lies. Much
of the the commercial media has an obvious bias and the Internet has
both bias and almost no responsibility for their actions. Notice that
this was "An activist group calling itself 'anonymous'".

Claims by one group or another can be found on any version of the
evening news, where there is at least some attempt to validate those
claims. I suggest that we focus on substantive opinion, validated facts,
and professional issues debate, or I will ignore threads like this.

John

Hello All,

Since this the hot topic right now I just thought I would pass this link
on.
It looks like someone hacked Sarah Palin's e-mail and has posted samples
on-line. I have not looked into the 'issue' at all but it would seem
the question of whether she may be using a personal email account for
official business might be answered soon.

Kind regards,
