Subject: [RM] Galveston memorial statue

somewhere I had read the Galveston 1900 Hurricane memorial statue had
been destroyed by Hurricane Ike especially after seeing photos like this
one
http://frontburner.dmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/ike_2.jpg

i've been trying to find information about its alleged destruction well
I'm glad to inform one and all that the memorial survived suffering some
damage
