I would like to recommend the Society of American Archivists website where
you can touch base with others on the section for Corporate Archives and get
bibliographic references and more personalized help on starting a corporate
archive. Our past president is the archivist for Ford. Are you at Safeway
headquarters?

Yes, I know this is the RECORDS MANAGEMENT list, but I'm interested in 
starting a corporate archives.  I have a few pieces of history that I would 
like to catalog, and one of our VP's took a bit back to his office, but I 
need some guidance in how to start an undertaking like this.  I'm more 
interested in getting it properly documented and cataloged, as well as 
perhaps an online collection of images, while I think this particular VP is 
interested in showing off a collection of historical items.
