PeterK and I are always being confused. Must be the glasses or something. I'm the tall one, he's the shorter one and Ray Cunningham is the really short one.

The LinkedIn ARMA group is available to all ARMA members (and folks interested in ARMA). The only membership requests that I reject are for folks who don't state that they work in RIM or a related field (there are a few LinkedIn members who "collect" group memberships). ARMA has sanctioned the use of the ARMA name and logo, but that is the extent of the relationship. The group function has added a discussion space and the ARMA group has had a few discussions going along the way.

Some ARMA Chapters have LinkedIn groups as well.

I have found LinkedIn to be an interesting tool for keeping in touch with friends and past co-workers. It is always kind of interesting to run across someone that you haven't seen for years and discover what they are up to.

A word of note... if you decide to create an interest group and want to use the ARMA International name or logo, please contact ARMA HQ for permission to use ARMA's name and the logo before you create the group. Since most of the staff will be in Las Vegas this week, I would not expect an immediate reply.
