Hi all,

First, let me say how great it was to see so many of you at ARMA this week.
Whether it was at chapter and region leadership functions, the region
gatherings, the listserv party, the welcome party, the awards banquet, and
even the Clancy party, I'm glad I got the chance to meet and talk to so many
people that I knew and meet new folks. I always find that the best part of
the conference.

Congratulations to all the winners at the awards banquet, but I want to
congratulate again Dave McDermott and Giselle Crawford for their
Distinguished Service Awards and Cheryl Pederson for her becoming a Fellow
of ARMA International (FAI).

I heard many good things about the sessions, both the full education
sessions and the technology briefings on the expo floor. There is always
room for improvement, of course.

Speaking with my vendor hat on, it seemed like the expo floor was full of
energy almost the entire conference and I heard from more than one person
that it was tough to decide at times between the expo floor and sessions!

Congratulations to the AIEF for what seemed like a very good silent auction.
I saw a number of items go for above their retail price!

All in all, I thought this was one of the best conferences I've attended in
a while, and I attend a lot of them. If you didn't get a chance to attend,
look to your local chapter as many of them are doing recaps of the
conference for their November meetings. And I certainly hope you'll be able
to join us in Orlando October 15, 2009!

Cheers,

Jesse Wilkins
