Laurie,
You're right! The students in my class spent the first few weeks of the
semester trying to find this book. ARMA admitted they had five copies which
they were holding back for sale at the Las Vegas conference, but agreed to
make them available to my class. Four of those five were purchased and one
made it to Las Vegas.
About that same time, mid-September, I spoke with Glencoe, the publisher,
and they apparently discussed it and made the decision to scan the entire
book so printouts of the book could be sold as "Print on Demand." I'd guess
it should be scanned by now thought I haven't verified this so anyone hoping
to acquire this book. I believe the print on demand price is about $105, so
it's still pricey, but should be available as long as needed though I don't
know the behavior of publishers in the situation very well.

.... I guess it IS all about supply and demand. Increasing demand and
decreasing
supply for this classic.
