I haven't had time to catch up on the RAIN postings lately, so forgive me if this story has already been posted.  I thought this was quite an interesting story.

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - Historical photographs seem to be a family passion in the Westcott family and Oak Ridge photographer Ed Westcott's son Dave is no exception.

Dave started his career in Oak Ridge as a microphotographer and microfilm processing technician at the Department of Energy, Office of Scientific & Technical Information soon after graduating from Oak Ridge High School in 1962. His work in microfilming, document conversion and photo archiving led to assignments with the United Nations Library, the U.S. Senate and Supreme Court libraries, the National Library of Medicine, the Navy Personnel Record Center and Time-Life Magazine for the microfilm and digital conversion of over 300 million documents and photographs over the past 45 years. In 2005, Dave embarked on a 17-month-long development project with the director of Life Magazine's Photo Collection in New York to plan the digitization of Life's vast photo archive...Read On via the following link (No Subscription Required)
