Hello Tamara,
Were the certifications given in connection with PADI or NAUI or another SCUBA certifying organization? They may have advice for retention of the records.

I am a PADI certified diver and it is my understanding that certification (at least through PADI) lasts a lifetime.

Subject: SCUBA certification records retention period
Hello Collective Wisdom,
We had a question arise about retention period for records pertaining to SCUBA courses here at Kennesaw State University. The secretary claims they need to be retained for 25 years (to support certification), but I am not finding any supporting information for this claim.
Anyone else out there have any information on this? Unfortunately, these are "old" records and no one teaches it here anymore. Any thoughts on how to approach this?
