Julia,
Maybe someone can correct me on the listserv, but I don't believe a true
integration between Sharepoint and an RM solution exists yet.
There are many great content management solutions such as the ones you
mentioned, that have an RM solution. After the demo, make sure you ask
your vendor if they have experience with taking Sharepoint content and
creating a record of it.
Demos often simplify the underlying technology or scenario to persuade,
and the technical team you work with may have limited practical
experience with the task at hand.
In summary, try to position yourself so that you aren't surprised with
additional service costs.
I hope that helps.
Jason

Subject: RM software for SharePoint
My company is preparing to implement Share Point and we are looking for
a
records management software to 'do it all'. We currently use Lotus
Notes
databases.
I would love to hear from anyone about their RM experiences - good, bad
or
ugly - with any software, but especially NextDocs or LiveLink. We have
scheduled demos for both of these applications.
Thanks in advance.
