Some suggestions for reducing shared drive dependency:

-Create default purge routines for content not migrated to the ECMS/ERMS
-Create/write API to automate the migration of content to the ECMS/ERMS
-Purchase a tool to automate migration of content to the ECMS/ERMS
-Create storage quotas, with our without purge routines and charge back departments for additional storage.
-Purchase a tool that will set quotas and manage charge backs to departments.
-Market the benefits/enhancements of the ECMS/ERMS compared to the shared drive (ability to retrieve content in an efficient and productive manner, reduced costs associated with legal discovery, etc.).
