Program:  Bringing together key stakeholders while building an enterprise records and information program can be a daunting challenge, even in the most supportive environments.  However, creating a collaborative network is the key to establishing a strategic vision for the program as well for its successful implementation and on-going maintenance.  The speaker will present a step-by-step plan to address the hurdles in creating a strong RIM governance framework by using real life examples.

Speaker:  Tad Howington is the Director of Corporate Records and Information with CenterPoint Energy in Houston, TX, where he oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide program.  Tad is both a Certified Records Manager and a Certified Archivist.

As a member of ARMA for 25+ years, Tad has served in numerous leadership positions, including President of ARMA International from 1999 to 2000. Tad has served two terms as President of the Ft. Worth Chapter and is currently Vice-President, Meetings for the ARMA Houston Chapter. He has received ARMA International's Distinguished Service Award and was inducted into ARMA's Company of Fellows in 2002. Tad has taught graduate-level courses in Information Management and is currently an adjunct instructor of Records Management in the Graduate School of Information at the University of TX at Austin. He has conducted over 70 seminars and workshops.
