The recent announcement by Rachel Hardiman placed in juxtaposition to the more than 100 posting on the topic of the need for academic journals in records management may suggest that emotion/adrenaline driven communication is a topic that needs further exploration. I have long thought that computer facilitated communications does not foster reflection and careful analysis.

Perhaps those who feel strongly on both sides of the question of academic journals should consider the possibility that they may simply be wrong and at least give some serious consideration to those holding an opposing view.
