I just took a look at this. It's proof that AIIM still doesn't get information management, content management, or records management. Their idea of information architecture is tactical--at the 30 foot, not 30,000 foot level, and follows what schools of library and information science call information architecture, which is not oriented to the enterprise, but to the workgroup or task. Their idea of strategy is simply a plan. Strategy with a small 's'. Records management is Strategy with a big 'S'. It's looking at the enterprise as a whole, not the individual business process or division/department. What we do as records managers is so much more complicated, time consuming, and enduring; so much more focused on people and process, risk and asset.
