Hello all,
I am going to put myself out there and ask a question that I feel that I
should know the answer but don't, and for which I can't seem to find any
answer:
Is there such a thing as NIST certification for destruction processes
for computer hard drives or other electronic storage media?
I can find a number of companies that claim to be NIST-compliant, or
meet the standards of NIST, but none that claim NIST certification for
destruction. Furthermore, I cannot find anything on the NIST website
about certifications for this activity. Is there such an animal? Am I
missing the obvious? Thanks in advance, and happy new year!
