Records Management Specialist position in Washington DC. Salary $90-95K

Minimum Technical Qualifications/Experience: Eight (8) years of experience in records management and analyzing and implementing related business processes, organizational requirements and policies and standard operating procedures. Experience coordinating across the organization to ensure records management policies and procedures are upheld.

Functional Responsibility: Responsible for analyzing the records management business processes and the respective systems and how they interact with each other and support governmental regulations. Assist the Records Management Officer (RMO) in developing and promulgating Agency-wide policy, procedures, strategies, and guidelines used for implementing the requirements of the Records Management program in accordance with applicable National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and agency's records keeping requirements. Responsible for identifying the performance bottlenecks and recommends steps to resolve them and improvise the processes. Identify ways to re-design and improve the processes, work closely with the functional SMEs to implement the process changes, and integrate them. Assist in developing and administering continuous records management awareness and training program to ensure that affected the agency/contractor personnel involved in the creation, use, and maintenance of records are aware of their responsibilities. Coordinates with business stakeholders, and interact with the customers' technology team to ensure the customers' business needs align with the proposed IT solutions. Work with the architecture and IT solutions group to arrive at an optimal IT solution to automate the business processes. 

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with Associate Degree will need to have minimum ten (10) years of experience in the business analysis and business information systems.
