Subject: What kind of barcode scanners do you use?

Good evening,

We're looking at using hand-held (preferably wireless) scanners to
capture barcode data for boxes we're sending to offsite storage, and I'm
curious as to what models and manufacturers anyone in ListServ land is
using? In doing an Internet search, there are thousands of options with
a myriad of features, but we'd like to keep it simple right now. We
want to capture barcode numbers from stacks of boxes and move them into
an Excel spreadsheet or Access database, and I only have a few hundred
dollars to spend.

Anyone using hand-held scanners for this purpose? If so, what model?
Are you using a proprietary software to capture the data? Anything
you'd do differently?

Respectfully,
Earl
