Great advice john

but these two questions got me shaking my head. it isn't a matter of how
many pages or words this is about answering the question asked. some people
can write in a very succinct manner a minimum of words are needed by them to
get their point across. Others believe that the more pages and words carry
greater weight.

The key is to answer the question asked. if you think in terms of number of
words or pages then you've lost. Why? because your first thought when you
find out that you didn't pass is "but I wrote x pages or x words. I should
have passed."
