I agree with Peter. I've graded Part 6 exams and the number of pages doesn't 
matter. I've seen a 5 page response and a 1.5 page response that earned 
similar points. It's all about answering what is asked. 

I think the ICRM has come a long way in the last decade to set candidates up 
for success by becoming more specific in how to structure the responses. It 
makes it easier for the candidate to write and a lot easier for the grader to 
grade.  Don't get caught up with what you WANT to talk about. Talk about 
what was asked.

I spent a lot of time writing practice exams and did a lot of variations in terms 
of timing, so that the 4 hours was plenty of time when I got to the actual day 
(however, back then, you could go back to your first question after you wrote 
the second one). One area that people sometimes don't practice much are the 
intro sections. It is easy to overestimate your ability to summarize and provide 
a statement of problem and an area where people can lose valuable points. 

Like others have also said - getting a mentor is a great thing.
