Aloha Listserv Friends!

I am deeply saddened to hear of Alan Andolsen's passing...

I've known Alan since the late 90's and truly consider him a treasured
friend and mentor. Alan spoke on numerous occasions in Hawaii for the
Hawaii Chapter and Leeward Community College spreading his wisdom and
passion for Records & Information Management.

I had wondered what happened to Alan, since I didn't see him in Orlando
at the ARMA Conference and I didn't receive a card or hear from him
during the holidays. I was about to send an email out to him to see how
he was doing...
Sadly, Peter's posting answers my worst fears.

For those you may not have met Alan, all I can say is that he truly was
an ambassador of Records Management, Christian faith, and the epitomy of
a good human being...Alan encouraged me to pursue all boundries in my
RIM career and was supportive of my candidacy for the ARMA Director
position. Alan also encouraged me to pursue the CRM, which I have yet
to fulfill...

My heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, Barbara and his
family...Alan often spoke to me of his family and I shall always
treasure the time he spent to assist me and the ARMA Hawaii Chapter.

God Bless you Alan!! You will truly be missed...

Mahalo,

Brian

Subject: Passing of a Giant

Recently I was informed of the passing of someone I considered to be a
friend and professional mentor. That individual was Alan Andolsen CMC
CRM and president of Naremco Services. Al passed away on January 24th.

I always looked forward to the ARMA conferences as I could catch up with
him there. I always glad to see an email from him in my inbox as they
were a delight to read. His sessions were well attended at the
conferences and they were the only ones where I wanted to sit up front.
I always learned something new
