Unannounced visits can reveal a lot. you can even do that when you are in
the process of selecting a facility. If a vendor has multiple locations in a
city you may want to visit several of them other wise they may have you
visit the prettiest and best one of their facilities. I experienced this
years ago. A good vendor will be proud to showcase their operation. for a
full scale audit of the operations I would though schedule the visit.
