I've been on both sides too, and understand the hows and whys personnel
change and attempts to minimize any disruptions it may cause in servicing
clients. It is still frustrating to find out, usually after the fact, that
your contact at vendor X is now someone else. I think if there were a
good-bye or transition process, it would work better. In a few instances,
the outgoing rep went around to the clients introducing the new rep and
making a final farewell. This is ideal, but usually is not the norm.

What really frustrates me is when I reach out to a specific associate with
our storage vendor (rhymes with water fountain) on an inquiry and it gets
delegated to someone else. I've tried to conquer this by adding each
delegate to my address book for future reference on a similar question.
Yet when I reach out to a delegate on a similar topic, it then gets routed
to yet another delegate. I swear it seems like their policy is: who ever
receives the inquiry must pass it on to another associate. I suppose all
this delegation keeps everyone busy, employed and generating enough
revenue to buy companies like Mimosa. The last 2 inquiries ending up
passing through a few hands before landing back with the person to whom I
originally lodged the inquiry.
