Well, sad to hear this.  He was a huge promoter of the CRM and was a  
valuable asset to the Birmingham Records Management community.

For  those who may have known him, I regret to inform you that Preston 
Darland died  on February 28, 2010 in Houston, Texas.  Preston was one of the 
earliest  CRMs and formerly worked at Brown and Root in Houston.  He later  
relocated to Alabama to begin the Records Management program for the City of  
Birmingham.  

He is survived by his wife, Maryanne, and children  Randy and Jenny.  Our 
condolences are extened to his family and  friends.
