Pat Franks is chairing an ARMA committee that is charged to "Determine the
extent to which records are created using web-based technologies, analyze
the associated challenges and risks, and provide guidance to ensure they are
managed according to generally accepted recordkeeping principles. Examples
of technologies will be included to illustrate types of records, challenges
and risks; such as wikis, blogs, mini-blogs, mashups, classification sites,
and social networking sites. Guidance will address policies, procedures,
change management, training, technology, and metadata."
