Stopped hunting live game in 1985, still do a decent bit of trap and target
shooting though (22, 357, 45, 457 blackpowder, 30/30, 7mm, 12 gauge, 410)
I have to admit wanting to duck when that puppy came over the treetops... my

We used to backpack in the Sierras at the top of Sonora Pass up by the MWTC
Cold Weather Cam in Pickel Meadows and one morning in 1978 we woke up to a
pair of dog fighting F-16s up from TwentyNine Palms that buzzed the ridgetop
we had pitched our tent on... rolled over after a near accident in my
sleeping bag and on the second pass, I swear I could see the rivets on his
underside

Decided against taunting them with a 357 magnum, and fortunately for us,
they didn't take a third pass... suffice to say, we didn't need coffee to
wake up that morning
