Good afternoon:
In the past I have differentiated records (management) liaisons from records
(management) contacts since a contact may be someone who has need to send or
request records, where the liaison is someone who represents their business
units records management interests to the corporate, or agency level records
management group or office.

We use Record Series - that is the term that is given throughout our Records
Management software also.
We use Record "Contact" for our departmental contacts.
