Sometimes a person affects your life and you've never heard of them. Take for instance Ed Roberts, inventor of the Altair 8800. 

 

An influence to many and I have to think were it not for him I'd still be hanging tapes on an IBM mainframe in a computer center somewhere in the heart of a city.
