Earl Johnson asked "Does anyone know of any commercial labeling applications ... that can work from within a Access 2007 database? We'd like to produce some color coded file folder labels (top-tab) complete with bar codes from an Access database, but want a more professional look than what we can get now, all without spending a lot of $$$ in customizing the database."
Earl, the New York City Municipal Archives uses BarCodeWiz (http://www.barcodewiz.com) from within MS Access to produce bar-coded targets for its microfilming operation. It should be a no-brainer to use the same software for labels.
BarCodeWiz "ActiveX Control 3.29" costs US $199 for a single-user license, but, if you're sure you will only be using a single symbology (such as Code 39), you can purchase one of the "Barcode Font" programs for US $139.
Good luck, and
Best regards.
Fred
