The State of Utah is on a 4 day work week. This position will be 10 hour days Monday - Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Full Time 

Full Time position working 40 hours per week (Monday-Thursday). Only those invited to interview will be contacted.
 
Job Characteristics

Incumbents provide records management and archival services to the public and governmental entities. Incumbents process permanent archival records for research use, including the arrangement and description of records; appraise and evaluate records for administrative, fiscal, legal, historical and research values; provide assistance to patrons in researching archival records and maintain staff library; participate in the development of a finding aids systems for use in retrieving information about and from archives records; develop and deliver training and/or presentations on archival related subjects. Incumbents provide assistance to public and governmental entities on the open records law (Government Records Access and Management Act), the open and public meetings law, and other open records mandates and issues; identify, appraise, schedule, and classify records in accordance with state laws and policies; develop educational materials and speak to state and community groups; ability to train; provide effective customer service; provide support to the State Records Committee. Must be able to help in the creation of new and innovative training and reference materials; ability to apply modern archives and records management techniques, including principles related to electronic records management and preservation; ability to efficiently plan and perform legal and general research; communicate effectively orally and in writing; skills in word processing, PowerPoint; experience with databases and data entry.
