Earlier this year, FINRA passed Regulatory Notice
10-06<http://www.asjonline.com/Exclusives/2010/4/Pages/Using-Social-Media-FINRAs-New-Compliance-Guidelines.aspx>,
providing guidance on blogs and social media websites. The notice came after
several months of deliberation with a social media task force, according to
Tom Pappas, a vice president in FINRA’s advertising and regulation
department.
Pappas said that FINRA was starting to receive more and more questions about
how firms and registered reps should handle social media communications.
