Very briefly,
 
In my experience, I found that sometimes very small mistake in printing, that adds additional paint, changes the data for barcodereader.
I found it when somehow files that are not in my location appeared during usual chelfscan - the problem was in printer and angle of barcodereader to the file.
Let say that under that see-through labels somebody hair would connected to the surface of the folder before you apply the label - how after barcodereader will read the data?
 
Also, check the quality of self-adhesive glue, and how longer it stays  on the paper and on that "see-through labels" made from ???plastic???
